Conference Settings
Configure per-conference settings and integrations.
Conference settings are only accessible to users with the update permission on conferences (typically Association Admins and National Admins).
Overview
The Conference Settings page lets you configure options that affect how a conference operates. Access it by clicking the Settings card from a conference's detail page.
Participant Identifier Format
The primary setting on this page controls which identifier is used to display and reference participants throughout the conference UI.
- Navigate to the conference detail page and click Settings.
- Under Participant Identifier Format, choose one of the two options:
- Participant ID — an auto-generated conference-scoped ID (e.g., 440100001). Best for QR badges and check-in workflows.
- Member ID — the organization's existing member numbering system. Best for organizations that already have an established ID scheme.
- Your selection is saved automatically.
Participant IDs are always generated regardless of this setting. This option only controls which identifier is displayed, searched, and referenced in the conference UI.
Integrations
The Integrations page manages third-party service connections for a conference. Access it by clicking the Integrations card from a conference's detail page.
Stripe Payments
The Stripe Payments tab lets you connect a Stripe account to the conference for online payment processing.
- Navigate to the conference detail page and click Integrations.
- The Stripe Payments tab displays by default.
- Follow the prompts to connect a Stripe account via Stripe Connect.
- Once connected, chapters will be able to pay invoices online through the Stripe checkout flow.
If you do not have the update permission on conferences, you will see a read-only notice indicating that you cannot configure integrations.
